My Process

01.

Consultation

After I receive your inquiry, I will reach out to you to have a Consultation; this will be where I will get to know you better and better understand how I can make Your Portrait session truly YOUniquely Yours. This will take only a few minutes and we will go over the type of Portrait session you are looking for, what date and time that is best, where you would like to have it done at, we can even go over wardrobe options and then the collection you would like to invest in. This is all important for us to talk about in the beginning so that way the shoot is planned out to go perfectly and there are no disappointing surprises ahead.

02.

Portrait Session

All the planning leading up to this moment! We will meet up on the date at the scheduled time where the Location you choose to be at. I will do everything in my power to create the Portrait session you are dreaming of! Lights, Camera, Action! The Magic begins, I will start out with key important poses to make sure I am capturing everything you desire and will share photos from the back of my camera as we go along, that way you can be inspired by the Magic that is being created.

03.

Ordering

After your Portrait Session I will upload the images to my computer and begin the process of going through and picking the amazing portraits and editing them. This process usually takes me a few hours, possibly a few days, it all depends on how many Portraits that were taken. After I am done editing I will upload the Proofs to your Client Portfolio, where you will be able to log in and choose the images you want in your collection. And we will set up a time we can talk over your collection and which images you would like to be printed, and the sizes you would like printed as well.

04.

Delivery

As soon as I get together with you, and we go over your collection; I will go to work on submitting the order to my printing company and will get back to you as soon as I receive an estimated delivery date to my studio. Once I have received the prints I will contact you for a date and time that is best for us to meet to personally give you your Collection. Any Digital Products will be available for you to download through the Client Portfolio.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

This will vary depending completely on what collection you choose for your Portrait Session. I am an "old soul" photographer, where I value printed portraits over digital. Don't get me wrong I LOVE digital images, but there is something just so much more valuable to me in having that print in a frame hanging on your walls at home that digital portraits just cant give you that same feeling of fulfillment.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

Newborns are soooo on their own time, and at this stage anytime can be the right time. it is most ideal to bring a bottle, or the boobies 😂 to keep baby calm and relaxed as much as possible. To best answer this is if you have noticed your Baby seems the most sleepy and relaxed at 3pm, then that would be good information to know and we will plan a time around that. I have had 5 newborns, and I never noticed a "certain time" they were the most calm, they were always just the most calm in my arms or while feeding so do not feel stressed out if your baby does not like to be put down, because mine didn't either.

How should we dress for our family session?

You should dress for how you want the Portraits to turn out; If you want Formal Portraits I advise button shirts for the Gentlemen, and elegant flattering dresses for all the Ladies in the Portraits. If you want semi casual then nice blouses, skirts for ladies, and a relaxed button up for the gentlemen like a flannel, something soft and comfortable but still looks nice. Any more questions about "what to wear" please send me a message above and I would love to help you choose what would be the best option for your YOUniquely Portraits.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

I absolutely understand this! Although I myself love pictures taken of me most of the time, sometimes you can't help but worry if what you think you look like in your head is how it will look in the camera. And LOL I come from the most un photogenetic awkward parents 😂🤦‍♀️ But I am able to get them to relax and pose them in ways that make them come to life and forget that I even have a camera. If you are nervous it is completely normal, but I will be there to hopefully get you to completely forget I am even there at all, and your true self can shine through the portraits you see at the end. My best example, is the Black & White above here that is of my oldest Daughter and she HATES taking pictures, but in that image I am willing to bet you would have no idea she desperately begged me not to take the portraits, and after the 20 mins I had with her and she saw these good ones, she thanked me for making her take them a few weeks later.
